This one-hour historical documentary examines the life of Robert W. Limbert an Idaho explorer, writer, poet, photographer, filmmaker and showman. For the first time, Robert Limberts never before seen photographs, motion pictures and documents have been assembled into a documentary film detailing his adventures and the impact he made on the state of Idaho in the 1920s until his untimely death in 1933. The film takes you through his early years growing up in Omaha to his epic journey across Idahos unmapped lava flows with his dog Teddy that led to the creation of Craters of the Moon National Monument. Follow along as he makes the first descent of the Bruneau River, discovers ancient petroglyphs and builds the historic Redfish Lodge in the Sawtooth Mountains. Finally, watch as Limbert performs his trick shooting and learn what happened when he challenged Chicago gangster Al Capone and his men to a gunfight in 1929. Running time: approx. 65 minutes |
