“If you have ever visited Redfish Lake Lodge, this film is a must see in order to appreciate the significance of this historic building and its builder"

This documentary film is based on over two years of research, never-before-seen photographs, motion pictures and letters that have been assembled into a rich story detailing the dramatic history of Redfish Lodge.

Since the late 1800s, men and women have journeyed to Redfish Lake to vacation and fish at one of the finest lakes in the heart of Idaho’s Sawtooth Mountains.

But when Idaho explorer and promoter Robert W. Limbert began building Redfish Lodge in the summer of 1928, the lake and his lodge took on legendary qualities.

This film takes you through Limbert’s excitement of having the financial backing of Chicago’s J.L. Kraft and Lewis Megowen to the loss of everything in the dawn of the Great Depression; to Limbert’s perseverance to finish his lodge, which still stands today as a testament to his plans and dreams.
